ok so i tried to do a search on this and didn't seem to have much luck, my question is what can the stock 6.7 internals withstand before, well, they're not internals anymore and are laying on the ground? i know the 6.7 cummins wont take kindly to twins because the three people that i know that have had them on their trucks spit parts of the cam and rods onto the highway:shock:, im wondering what i can push my motor too with a single before i have to worry about something hitting me in the leg.

ok so my goal of shooting for 700hp on a single isnt too far out of reach then if its still moderately safe ( even stock HP stuff breaks so i understand the risk)

i decided to run a big single due to everyone i know running twins blowing their trucks up, good friend of mine had his 2010 6.7 shipped out to industrial injection just recently to have them install a fully built 6.7 and twins because he blew two motors with a 66 and s475. i dont have his money so i cant play like that haha

i would love to do twin pumps but local pulling regulations wont allow me to run dual pumps in a 2.8 turbo class, only 3.0 and i cant afford to run with the 3.0 trucks. sad part is everyone i pull with trailers their trucks to the pulls, i must be brave because i drive mine haha

what is at risk of breaking at that power level? im looking to do twins, dual cp3, and nozzles in the first quarter of the new year... on a stock bottom end. what kind of problems can i expect? broken rod? hole in a piston? cracked push rods? snapped cam?

What he said, bend a rod or Install a window in the block with twins, on a single u can get by with more when making power above 1900 the torque curve doesn't destroy the bottom end.

On a 366 480 twin stock bottom will fold a rod up like a pretzel at 780 rw, but im sure somebody has pushed it with better luck than myself

I can't think of anyone that has windowed a block with a big single say up to 850-ish hp. Usually beyond 850, people will stop and build the bottom end.

I can think of a good number that have with compounds - usually in the 700+ hp range.

the destruction i have seen with compounds on a 6.7 is the reason i decided to run your Aurora 5000 kit because i feel that way i can keep my internals internals and not puke them all over the highway or pull track haha

I'm sure with enough fuel, a big single could bend some rods. But it'd have to involve an aftermarket head and tons of fuel to do it. I'd feel comfortable running 800-ish on a stock bottom end with a large single.
