Leaking vent housing in dash, leaking door seal, leaking rear window gasket, or (and probably the most likely) a leaking third brake light gasket.

I think there is a ac drain tube somewhere on the passager side too that can get blocked up and cause water on the passenger side floor. Not 100% sure but I believe I remember reading that when I was having water issues.

What does it smell like? Heater core is likely.

I had a wet passenger front floor. The water was seeping in via the AC drain. This drain is installed horizontal and allows water to roll back to the firewall. The seal is foam and wears with time. I placed a hose on the drain so it drooped down. No more water.

I did the same repair on a Jeep with the same problem.

How do I get to this drain? I removed the screws along the floor trim/moulding. There is a lake down there. How do I remove the padding that is resting on the upper floor directly under the black box? Is this where I need to be?

I second heater core. Do you get any kind of fog when heater is in use?

The drain tube is located in the engine compartment. On my truck it is a bit hard to see but easy to reach. Look at the black box you see inside the cab and find that location on the firewall engine side. I just placed a piece of 5/8" water hose on the tube. It was a tight fit so I did not need to use a hose clamp.

To clean out the water I had to remove the trim panel that holds the carpet along the bottom door frame. Once you remove the trim panel you will be able to lift the carpet to get the water out. I cleaned out as much water as I could. Then I placed some wood pieces to hold the carpet up. I let it air dry for about a week.

BTW, this one was an easy fix. On the Jeep repair the engineers placed the drain tube inside a frame rail. Once I measured to find the location, I had to cut a hole in the steel rail to access the drain tube. A real pain.

I will see if I can get a good picture and will post tomorrow.

I know that I used to see quite a bit of water dripping under the truck and now I don`t. A pic would be of great help. Thank you.

Thanks to all for the replies, it could be any of the above.

hey, no fog with defrost on and no smell. ITS THE AC DRAIN............it will leave a lake down there. that drain is at the bottom of the plastic ac duct right where your toes would be if you were to put you foot flat of the inclined part of the floor. there should be a few layer of material(carpet, sound/temp mat, then black rubber, finally foam.) best way is to cut out the black rubber and foam around it and make sure it leaks. you will see the leak drivin around with ac on. then get it all dried out and silicone it. i went ahead and pulled my nasty a$$ carpet out and put in a rubber floor.

Hey, what does it mean when you get fog on your windshield with defrost on? When I first start my truck with the windshield defrost on, I get 10 - 15 secs of fog with a nasty mildew smell. After 15 secs of running, the windshield clears up and the smell goes away. I do not smell any coolant. What could be causing this? I always thought it was a drain that was clogged up.
