meanwhile, just another day in eastern washington.....

most of the westerners have no idea how to drive in a little white stuff. It's honestly kinda funny how bad they over react to a little Canadian sky fluff falling down everywhere

wait....hold the phone. how to top off your coolant? like in case people were running straight water? isn't that something that is just regular maint. info, like check your coolant level, don't run straight water, use the correct coolant and mixture for their vehicle

The other thing they don't really design correctly is for snow accumulation inside the wheel well. i wish i had taken a picture of the fronts, but i had some rubbing while turning issues the other day, which isn't normally a thing for me. turns out it's just a winter thing. Took a picture of the rear wheel wells though to tell the story

@Jimmy N. we thankfully don't use salt over here, all that buildup was thanks to driving in the snow storm, while it happened. I've honestly never had that much build up in one storm before, guess the conditions were just perfect for it

I guess I was wondering if there is a different driving technique to use with traction control. Everyone had to relearn how to brake with the introduction of ABS, so maybe there is a different way to work the skinny pedal under TC.
I think they just want you to turn in your man card and let the smart vehicle do all the hard work and thinking. Part of me isn't looking forward to when i upgrade my truck in another year or two, because the new truck will have all the nanny stuff. my 12 doesn't have any of the nanny things thanks to being just old enough to not have them with being a DRW, and new enough to have most of the modern features i actually like. Like the heated steering wheel, which i honestly thought was a gimmick, until i had one. now i couldn't dream of driving in winter without it

I just realized something. I cleaned my bed out on wedneday, of all the snow, because i had to use it. But then i forgot to close my tonneau cover after. it's now snowing heavily again, after snowing last night, ect ect. so my bed is about to be full of snow again. Guess sunday when the storm stops, i will be cleaning snow out of my bed again and hopefully remember to close the cover so i don't have to again

Would be a great time for us to convince them to just leave and go back to the south where they belong.

I saw this picture, and thought it summed up a lot when it came to winter in Washington

i went down there a week or two ago to pick up a a car. it was snowed in, with 300 feet that needed to be cleared of snow to get it to an unplowed road. the guy didn't bother mentioning this until i was pulling into pasco. No, i'm sorry i'm not test driving a muscle car with the roads like this, and why in the hell didn't he mention that little fact 4 hours previously when i told him i was coming down after we had been talking for a week. I got a little upset with him, especailly when the day before we put it off because of a storm that was rolling through.

but i did get to see a lot of people down there struggle with the snow, while i mobbed around in it like it was nothing while towing a trailer. So that was fun. lol

there were numerous red flags coupled with registration issues and the guy wasn't completely honest about other things as well. so with all that, and wasting a day to just look at it, i was kinda upset about the entire ordeal. And then to top it all off, both places me and the gal wanted to have lunch at were closed either from the snow or it being sunday.

Yeah, at this point nothing is in the right price point for me to waste the money on it. So i'll let the cash sit and put it towards projects i really "need" to do, rather then just "want" to do. lol

it was a newer camaro i was going to use as a DD "Fuel economy car" i wasn't really in love with it, i liked the price tag. but like i said, to many red flags, and for a car where i only liked the engine and interior, it wasn't worth the hassle

Although i do keep playing with the idea of this little guy. just wouldn't be as practical as some of the other options i've been playing with

That's actually what i'm thinking. except i've basically decided i want a 98-02 black on black T/A with T-Tops. I'll settle if it's an auto, and might consider a couple other exterior colors. But LS1/t-tops i'm not willing to bend on. And if its an Fbody it'll be a 98-02 as they look the best inside and out. The issue is much over 6 grand, i might as well just look at C5s as that's when you start getting into their price range. by 9-10 it's not that hard to find one you can negotiate down to under 10. Problem is nobody is selling right now, so i'll wait for a couple of my bigger projects to get done with and reassess in summer when it'll be a buyers market. Once the snow is gone i imagine people will start selling their "fuel economy cars"

Yeah, the main thing i was thinking about with the camaro is grabbing it and riding it until i found a suitable roller to transfer the power train into. Wouldn't mind running a modern running gear into a c3 or something like that, i've always loved a nice c-3 stingray. But that's just not quite in the cards for right now. So might as well get a runner that i enjoy, and then do a swap down the road when i can find a nice enough roller to make it worthwhile. My main thing holding me back is landscaping and a roof need to happen this year, so i really should let that get settled before starting a project. and with next year being the year i plan on dropping another large sum towards a newer truck, i might have to wait for the prices to come down further to be ready to start that end of the project

But on the plus side neither me nor the old lady have any kids to worry about, so i don't have to consider much with more then 2 seats. Which i'm certainly not complaining about. let my money buy me some toys, rather then buying offspring toys
