Figured I'd share my story from start to finish. Bought a 2012 Dodge Larime 4wd, did my deletes and jumped the gun and didn't read enough and bought the Smarty Jr.(learned afterwards about the surging while towing and on WOT ).

Kept up with the forum did some reading and went with the Mini Maxx from Rolling Smoke, pyrometer, pillar mount and OD tune. Got the OD and the Mini, still waiting on the pillar and pyro. Started to install on Friday and it went in like a charm with the stock .38 w/att program. Now having read I new I wanted no att since I don't have head studs (yet). Downloaded the .38 and got the dreaded cant find bin file crap. Did not freak out, I came in read the forums found a lot of you great (talk a newbie and others) through a problem guys and tried all 3 of the fixes in the forum. The last one I tried worked (of course :banghead:). Found a thread that said on the new SD card start over and choose your truck and go through the whole program again. Success!!!!!:party018:.

All I can say is thank everyone of you guys for all your help and suggestions whether I actually talked to one of yall or not you all have valuable input and this site is a lifesaver! Having said that I am still playing with the tuner and right now I am running Wild/3 no att. I am light on the pedal and only hit it every once in a while and so far 18.5 mpg. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Rolling Smoke and thanks to all of yall!

I am still running mild/2 no ATT. I have been thinking about trying the wild/3 no ATT. I have read that if you stay at 75% throttle and under you should be ok on that tune.

Well I will definitely tow on Mild/2 no att. I am just playing now after reading several different threads I am just seeing what does what. Being older now I am not near as hard on the skinny pedal as I used to be so I plan on using the wise piece of info I have found on this site, use your gauges and your head. Pretty sound advice.

Does wild 3 generally damage head gasket/ studs or turbo? What is the weak point with that tune? Great post raptorhauler this form has given me a lot of info to feel good about tackling all of these projects myself

Well I have punched it on Wild/3 no att and definitely see how you can blow sheet up with it if you are reckless. Just normal driving it is perfectly safe in my opinion and great mpg's. I have one big pig of a toy hauler though, not real sure I would tow with it without a few more mods, head bolts and all.
