Got mine a few years back. It was in my Silverado and I kept it and put it in my Dodge. I like it.

They are expensive new! but I think they are WELL WORTH IT. Most all contractors I know have weatherguard and swear by them.

I bought mine off craigslist for $100 plus another $100 to have it sprayed with rhino liner. I am VERY pleased with this box. Its well built, latches perfectly nice and solid lid. I would have liked to have a gull wing box but for the price I couldn't pass it up.:thumbsup: btw... the box is model 117 or the "wide box"

I bought a K&W box that was the extra deep box... what a PITA. no matter what it was you had to get in the bed to get something out because it was too darn far down into the box to get out

I gave $650 installed back when I got mine.

It was that or get a fiberglass bed cover for that truck, that was what I was deciding between. The cover was going to need paint and then I couldn't haul certain loads.

The box is plenty strong. I always stand on it when cleaning the truck so I can reach out over the roof.

I've had mine for prob over 5yrs and it's never leaked in storms or car washes. I used to strap a sportbike in the bed of the truck and have the front tire pushed into the toolbox. It never bent the metal where the bike was pushing into it. Have stacked square bales on top of it several times also. The only spots on my box that are worn through the paint is from a large Miller welder/gen that was sitting next to it. Some bolt heads on the welder rubbed against the box.

They are strong and good quality. My only complaint is that mine is getting older and the gas struts are starting to sag. They can be easily replaced, I'm lazy

WG quoted me $90 for a pair of struts, and the guy said that I couldnt get them anywhere else..... NAPA $60 later and they are 10lbs PSI more than the 60lb WG struts

ebay.com
craigslist.com
Search weather guard, weatherguard, toolbox, tool box, weather gaurd (I know its spelled wrong but you would be amazed how many people post it like that... same for cumminGs parts )
