Looking to find out the in's and out's of adjusting the actuating rod on an HX40. Will turning the rod in or out create more boost, and will turning the rod damage the diaphram???? The turbo does have a boost elbow on it. I am not necessarily looking for a ton more boost, this is just an area that I am lacking experience in, and was wanting to know more. As always, thanks in advance!!:thumbsup

I would reccomend using a manual boost controller, however, adjusting the rod will affect your boost....to a point (that point limited by fueling). Tightening or making the rod shorter than what it was will increase you boost because it will compress the spring inside the actuator creating more tension and requiring more pressure to open.
