I did the same thing 125k miles ago when I installed my RV275s and Edge Comp. Only isue is that you can overspeed the turbo, and backpressure gets way crazy over about 2400 rpm. You will see this as your boost pressure will also start to drop off at those engine speeds at WOT. I now have 155k on the truck and still going. Just make sure you keep it under 1300* pre turbo EGT and under 35psi boost. Good luck!
a boost elbow is like a boost controller. you can adjust it so lie to your waste gate so you can turn down boost going to the wastegate. plugging it makes you have no wastegate and works but can be hard on a turbo. i did the same and am fine but my turbo barks bad it i release the trottle too fast.
