I've just installed my bypass filtration system on my 2006 CTD truck. Has anyone every had warranty issues because of the installation of the bypass filter? I've got to take my truck in on Friday for some warranty work.

depends on what your taking the truck in for and how the dealership looks at mods.

You should not have any problems with it on there. As I understand it unless your by pass set up caused your engine to have low or reduced oil pressure and screwed up some internal part(s) it should not cause any warranty problems.

What is normal oil pressure while the engine is running (idle) and crusing at say 55 mph?

Mine is about 40 psi at idle and maybe 60 psi at 55 mph.

To get a true oil pressure reading you would have to hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge. The gauge on your truck only shows the oil pressure that the computer tell it to read.
