I am looking for some feedback on what you think. I would like to do a single passenger side cat stack, 5 or 6", take out the muffler and gut the catalytic converter.

What will I be looking forward to? Pros, cons...

There is no cat on these trucks. If you want it loud and have a drone do the stack

I was gonna put a stack in my truck, instead i straight piped my 5 inch exhaust, and i love it. its still loud but not right behind your head loud. and i dont get soot on my cab or have to worry about putting a bucket over my stack every night

Stacks are loud. I had dual 6" Aussies and a single 6" cat. If ya like loud do em up. I was going to try my cat stack again til I got a transfer tank.

just do straight pipe for now see how you like it, then get stacks and imagine what you're hearing x5. lol

I must be deaf cause I don't think dual stacks are that loud. Single 8" that was loud. But its just my opinion

I think height, and type of stack make a big difference. I have a single 5" turnout that ends 4-5 inches above the cab and from inside the truck it is not that loud. But a single 8 inch mitre that ends 6"-8" below the cab will make you want to drive into a wall.

Lol, yeah I figured if the cat tip pushed the noise away from the cab towards the back, it wouldn't be that loud in the cab.

kinda comparing apples and oranges but my 8in single miter that is level with the cab is quieter then my 4in striaght pipe center dump at idle, but louder at around 18-2200rpms. its also quieter under 1600rpms.

my buddy as an 94 idi with a 10in single cat stack and it is loud as hell and drones like a motherfer.

also mines a quad cab so that could add to the quietness.
