Ok so my trans is shuffling back and forth between 1st and second and then it will hold second untill I let off the pedal a hair then it will shift. I'm going to replace the pressure sensor and transducer, do ya think this would be the correct thing to do also should I mess withh the band's or leave them alone, I'm looking at getting my parts from
Automotive Transmission Electronics Specialists. Also should I just get the transducer and solenoid or do the Billet manifold they offer or go for the gusto and do there master electrical kit I just don't want to open up a can of worms I can't handle

i'd do the transducer first before messing with the band. i rebuilt my trans this weekend and its not as scary as you might think so dont think you're in over your head, with a clean space to work and basic hand tools you can do most of it.

adjusting the band if you want to do that while you wait for the transducer to come in is loosen the jamb nut, tighten the torx bit to 72 in/lbs (6 ft/lbs) and then back it off 1 7/8 turns then tighten the jamb nut to 30 ft/lbs

Hi bud, and welcome to the forum. What you are describing is classic governor solenoid/transducer symptoms. Here is a good kit that has the gasket for under $90. you NEED the gasket. A500 A518 A618 Governor Pressure Sensor Transducer Solenoid 2000 Up New 99168 | eBay

Also, please fill in your signature with mods, miles, adders, etc on your rig so that we know what you have. Helps us diagnose stuff.

Next, go to this dropbox and download your factory service manual, the ATSG manual, and the Valuable trans links document. TONS of good stuff in there!!!!!!!!!! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/81mtpw6h29nct9h/AADFUT79CVpu_LcpdZOLxp5ja?dl=0

Next, how long has it been since you adjusted the front band? You can do it from the side and not drop the pan but you MUST have an inch/lbs torque wrench.

Lastly, what do you use your truck for? 99% of them will benefit from the addition of a shift kit. Most of us use Transgo. Makes a night and day difference and firms up your shifts, decreases slippage, increases line pressure for holding torque, and helps them live a lot longer.

Answer and fill in the above and we'll get you fixed up.:thumbsup:

Couple more questions: how long or how many miles have you had it? How old is fluid or how long does it normally go between changes?
