wait to start light

it came on this mornin at 54 degrees but thats the only time iv ever seen it come on. this is the coldest its been in a while. have had the truck for at least 3 weeks. any ideas.

The Wait to Start light comes on every time you turn the key to the on position, if the ambulant temperature is above about 60 degrees it will go out with the rest of the lamps after the lamp test.
If the ambulant temperature is below about 60 degrees it will stay on for anywhere from about 15 seconds to 30 seconds. This allows the Grid heater in the Air intake to get hot, to heat the incoming air so the truck will start easy without a bunch of white smoke.

mine never comes on. when it got cold a couple days ago it came on and only once that day. never seen it again. i did a test were u hold the odo button down and turn the key to do the test and it shows up then but not when the key is in the on position.
