Well, today I went and had my oil changed and looked at the 2013 half ton Ram's. These are the exact same as what's coming in the 3/4 and up trucks. Man, the interior is UNREAL! The new look on the dash readout, the extra large display, all of the side door panels, and etc. etc. look fantastic. The fit and finish is absolutely georgeous. They are using a better leather fabric as well. The stitching is thicker and nicer; just a bunch of all around changes that look fantastic. The headlights and the taillights are really nice too. They even have a piece of rubber installed between the bed and the cab so things look more tight. I say, if you are still looking to buy a 2012, you are nuts - these 13's are beautiful. And if you are buying a 2013, you are very lucky!

Everything they changed looks 100% better in person than it does in the photos we've all been looking at.

If the increase is anything like the 1500, it'll be 1%... I think the difference is going to be in the available rebates, whether it's direct to consumer or to dealer...

JMO, but regardless of what the few here think of the 2013s, the economy still sucks and without up front rebates to make the buyer feel good, they will loose sales. It won't be long before the standard Ram $2500 rebate shows back up after the 2012s are cleared from the lots. As far as price increases, well again, the economy sucks and they know that any increase must be small. It will compare to what Ford and GM have done.

The rubber strip that you are talking about in between the bed and cab is found even in a 10 1500. For some reason all of the HDs don't have them.

I once heard that was due to aerodynamic drag since the 1500 has to have fuel mileage on the window sticker. Similar to how the older 1500 had the plastic "spoiler" on the tailgate and the HD did not on the 3rd gens.

That makes sense. I thought maybe the factory forgot to install it in my truck but when I saw another HD at the dealership with that strip missing I was confused.

There was a guy on another forum, that was going a bit crazy looking for his CD player in his new 1500. Come to find out, it's now an option.

I still prefer a CD player, but when I think about when I last used the ones in my car, I don't remember when. Still I'd like one because I don't want to convert all my music to MP3s. You see, I'm one of those guys that still doesn't own a MP3 player (iPOD or whatever that's out there) and tend to listen to talk radio, which is on AM around here.

That's probably why the rear-seat entertainment option is not available on the Ram build website for the 1500s. I was hoping to order it as an option when I order my truck in February. Will most likely now end up going with in-headrest video screens.

That's really stupid... kinda like my $54,000+ truck not coming with Bluetooth. Some things ought to be standard (like CD Players, Bluetooth, Aux plug-in, etc.) on all non-fleet vehicles.

Regarding the rubber strip on the bed, you guys are right, they started that a while ago. Right after I saw the 2013's I was at the car wash and an 11 1/2 ton came in and had them...

Anyway, I'm reading a some of your posts here and you should go and take a look at the 13 1/2 tons. We all know the same plastics, headlights, grille, tail lights, etc. will be used on the big boys when they finally get here. When you see all the new stuff and the way the truck comes together you will want to wait for the 13's. That is unless you normally order trucks with no options.

But if you're like me and like a real good fit and finnish and all the neat stuff, the 12's don't even stack up to the 13's. It's that good. You also want to think about the updated HP and 15,K oil change...and some of the other goodies. Just an awesome truck. By far the best Ram to date, hands down.:thumbsup:

Yeah that sucks and the casing around the screen in the front look cheap as heck. Big piece of black plastic.

CD player is an option, its located in the console. Entertainment System will be a late availibility option.
