Unstead of going blue chip get the monster vp44 it will be fine for him
A good friend of mine has a stock 2001 and the VP44 is dead, followed the flow chart for checking it and it is junk. So know here is the million dollar question or $1500 to $2500 question and that is where and what to get in a VP44. His truck is stock other then the exhuast and its a daily driver. there are no major plans to bomb this and like i said its daily transportaion more then anything. he was looking at Bluechip VP44X I think. What do you guys think or suggest??
Thanks for information.
Jon
I'd go SO VP-44 save a grand or more if you install (online thier $1100 plus shipping), and get a performance lift pump. i.e. airdog and you still have cash for some RV 275 injectors. My 2 cents.
Well I'm getting way better fuel mileage since I'm not so heavy on the throttle to keep it from smoking!I agree with that... I would be looking to improve MPG numbers not you HP/TQ number when fuel is $5 bucks a gallon or did we all forget about that??? :w:
Where I live here in Canada, Cummins dealers and Anyone else that's into injector pumps claim nobody can rebuild the VP's. I think that's a crock of s**t, somebody must rebuild them.:w:i just got my pump back from getting it rebuilt by scheid diesel. .
