Im not sure why my sig is not showing up, I have it filled out in my profile and have had it filled for quite some time. When you lifted the truck you effectively shortened the rear drive shaft. You might look at the transfer case slip yoke (or transmission, your sig isn't filled out.) and see if there is any up and down movement when the drive train isn't under load - meaning wheels chocked and trans in neutral.
If you have a carrier bearing in the middle of the drive shaft, check the slip yoke right behind it for too much movement also. The center and rear u-joints are the most problematic, the center one locks up and the rear loosens.
But to answer your question, I don't have a carrier bearing, or at least I don't think so? I have a 2007 (5.9l) qcsb, I really haven't spent much time under the back haha, and I really don't at the moment because I would have to lay in ice and slush.....
But I will try to remove and inspect the rear d shaft tomorrow. stupid snow/ice/slush... I never should have left FLORIDA to move to VERMONT!?
