My truck has developed a vibration while on a road trip to the Washington, DC area. It started while driving through WV on I-64, which is pretty bumpy around Beckley. The vibration shows up above 50mph (when the torque converter locks up) and appears to go away above 75mph. It also goes away when I let off the accelerator pedal. I am roughly 600 miles from home and would like to make it home on Wednesday. Any thoughts on what the issue may be?

I am suspecting the rear u-joint as well. At a glance, it looks OK, but I haven't been able to crawl under and check it out thoroughly. My air pressures are good and my fuel mileage is on target maybe even better than usual for the type of driving I have been doing. Hopefully I'll make it home today! Thanks for the tips!

I made it home, 600 miles without any problems. Tomorrow, the truck goes on the lift for a thorough inspection. Thanks for the advice!

Driveshaft u-joints turned out to be the problem. They appeared OK while in VA, but when I got home, there was a lot of slop in the rear u-joint. I'm in the middle of replacing them right now. The parts from Napa are greasable, unlike the factory crap. I'll eventually have all greasable u and ball joints!!! "Permanently Lubricated" components are junk in my opinion.
