I have an 07 5.9 manual. The truck seems to vibrate some when accelerating at 40+ mph and a little bit when holding at constant speed. Problem just started the other day. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My vibration has finally gotten to the point I have been considering replacing the driveshaft with a a one piece.

Have an appointment in South Bend IN for a company to balance it. If no good, replacement here we come.

So no death wobble just vibration? Definitely check the wheel weights since its the easiest. The rear driveshaft carrier bearing is simple to check too, look for deteriorating rubber. Replacing with a one piece is nice, definitely do it if you find something out of whack. Also, it doesn't hurt to grab onto your drag link and check for play. U-joints generally cause these sort of issues also.

I have had the front tires balanced 3 times in a week. Lost a weight last Sunday and those on the road were worthless.

In the last 40k miles I have changed the rear u joint 3 times. Bad each time. The middle one was bad two weeks ago as well. I then had them change them all and the carrier bearing as well.

The vibration is still there. I have eliminated everything and my mechanic says it is the driveline.

The vibration shows about 66 mph. and is tied to the accelerator so to speak.

You can put in neutral and the vibration is still present.

Axle u Joints are fine, but I suspect I am reaching the time they will be needing changed. It has been about 350k on the right one and 200k on the left one.

Wheel bearings are all at the same temp under 66 degrees. Tranny and pumpkins are all at low temps.

well I am 99% sure I have found the problem. The rear u joint was bad. went to the parts store to get a new one and they gave me thee wrong one, too bad I realized that 15 minutes after they closed. :banghead: I have a one piece driveshaft, did these come stock on the 5.9 manuals? or is it an after market upgrade...resulting in the incorrect u joint.
