so i've been noticing that my truck seems to have varying and inconsistent power while slowly accelerating/maintaining lower city speeds. it may do it at high speed in 5th, but it's hard to tell.

basically i will be holding my pedal solid at probably 10-15% and it feels like good power for a few moments, then less power, then more power with i'm sure a steady pedal.

fuel pressure remains solid, i thought maybe a bit of air going through. APPS?

thanks

Doubt it. It's all the tell tale signs of a worn spot. Makes sense because it's probably a spot on the throttle that is most likely used the most. Thats how it is on mine also.

Always check for codes with a scanner. Don't jump on the APPS bandwagon without an invitation. At the very least if you can monitor the position verify it is smooth.

^^^that is true. I have at least verified mine using my scangauge. I can watch my throttle position jump from 32 down to 26 and everywhere in between while having my foot planted making sure its not moving at all. Any other throttle position and it stays. The ultimate test would be putting an ohm meter on the apps and slowly sweep the sensor from idle to WOT and look for any jumps or dead spots.

It won't necessarily throw a code. Mine isn't throwing a code either. Doesn't mean it's not bad... Just not bad enough to be detected by the ecm.

Ya know, now that I think about it, I don't use cruise anymore either because the speed varies too much... By about 10mph at some times. I bet its due to the varying tps signals. Hmmmm.... Time for a timbo apps i think...
