Yeah, you need springs. At 50 psi you are probably floating the valves. I would not be surprised if the pistons have little eyebrows embedded in them.

do i need valve springs for my truck i am making about 50 psi of boos and i need to know if they are needed i am getting a different engine sound after about 2600 rpm and am i folating the valves
