i was wondering if the fuel plate is removed will the valet switch not work ive herd if u gut the afc it wont??? let me know thanks

bump anyone? i got it hooked up but nothing? put solenoid b etween afc and line coming from head is that right???:confused013:

The rack DOES move if the boost is cut to the AFC. It stops when the governor follower contacts the AFC foot (throttle stop) which does not move because there is no boost to move it. This limits rack movement quite a bit, but the rack does move.

so would my question is why isnt this thing working then i dont feel any difference between on and off i know its getting air after a friend flipped it on and off i could feel air pass when i had it off and cut when he had it on again.. ive given up messing with it :S:

unless someone can explain what im doing wrong here

my smoke screw is in all the way could that cause a problem?

You HAVE to have a functioning AFC for the valet switch to work. That little smoke screw on the back of the pump is great for tuning how much power you want in valet mode. Back it way out if you really want to kill the power, or anywhere in between. If you have it all the way in though, you probably wont see any difference in the valet switch being on or off. So, start playing with that smoke screw and as long as your AFC arm is in and functioning, then you will notice a big power difference once you back that pre-boost(smoke) screw out.

just wanted to let everyone know it was the smoke screw all the way in i put it out and it made a difference i put it even more out and it made a huge difference between valet and performance its like hitting a nos button lol
