I just purchased a Valair 12.25x1.25 Organic/Feramic 450hp 900ft lb torque clutch and installed it myself last weekend, since then, I have put 120 easy miles on it since installed. Yesterday was the first day I started getting hard on it since it broke the 100 mile mark. the clutch spins and slips if i lug the truck in third and fourth as soon as it hits boost. This is making me VERY ANGRY since I just spent 600 bucks on a slipping clutch no better than the stock one, so far at least. am I doing something wrong or what can I do to make this stop? it doesnt slip at all, then sometimes just out of the blue it spins

100 miles, you need to break it in a bit more before starting aggressive driving. and i see you truck is a 12V, did you resurface the flywheel and check the center bore of the flywheel for clearence, the 12V had a 6.875 inch bore and that clutch requires a 7".

the feramic materials tend to take the longest to seat in, be paitient once it seats in, the slipping will quit, if you don't have time to call me during the day, you can reach me on my cell at 940-859-1496 anytime.

Even though we sell a different brand, it is most common to seat the clutch taking as long as 1,000 miles. The harder the material the longer that period will be. you will feel it when the clutch is ready for a good beating.

:thumbsup That service right there deserves some points in my opinion. Not many people will give out a cell number, and on an open forum no less. I wish there was more of that. :beer

Must have been ok, you would have had problems, the trucks that came with 12V engines had a smaller bore in the center of the flywheel. most aftermarket flywheels or 24V are ok, But we do send instructions out and it is on our site as well.
