Ups and Downs for Strocker Pumps?

1662 Views 18 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  2007 5.9
So I've always believed in 2 is better then one but lately I've been hearing great things about strockers. I'm going to be upgrading my CP3 soon and stumped on where to go, I installed DDP 120s this weekend and over my Christmas Break I will be installing my stock/s475. Any input?

Duals. Hands down. Strokers work but duals work better.

Yep^^^^^^
And it looks better when you pop the hood lol
Did someone say DUALS!!! Everything is better in pairs...
For 120's OP, you don't need duals. A single 10.6mm stroker pump would handle those all day, everyday, without missing a beat. You can go duals but with anything smaller than 150's really, I see no need to run dual pumps.

That it's true ^ but it's really not much more to go with duals over a stroker pump. IMO nobody stops at 120's or 150's lol. The 10.6 stroker pump will support 100% overs but not as easy as duals. Simplicity go with a single, complex and a lot of fuel it calls for duals lol
Stroker cp3's ain't cheap! You can do a dual set-up that will support 900+hp for less than $1600.

Agreed for the 120's. But we all know where it leads to. More and more. So with that said, you can always throw another pump on top when the time comes. And you can have DUAL STROKERS!!

Where did you source your top pump rail line? Want to swap from a crap-max top to a Cummins but can't seem to locate a rail feed line without going to a dual feed line.
Rail line came with the kit I bought from a member of another forum, PM me for details.
above 650 hp below 800hp

oops. .. Wrong thread.

I have a stroker CP3 and it works very well, but I will probably be going with two CP3's soon. But if all you're doing is 120 hp injectors a stroker will probably keep plenty of fuel available.

Can't, I'm banned from PM's

However on compd I can
Same user name on CompD, PM me there. And why the hell you banned from PM's?

Why you no like the LBZ or any of the Duramax model cp3's?

Far to picky...they dont like high feed pressure.

My LBZ pump with anything over 13psi will hang the rail, rattle, and generally drive like garbage.

Second and most important to me is that the way the rail feed line comes off the pump whether a PPE kit or not, is not real conducive to line life. A hard 180* bend right off the pump is not ideal..

Of course these are my OPINIONS only and should not be used to formulate your opinions on a kit.

I simply like to run MUCH higher feed psi than 12psi and I dont like to have to adjust the rail PID tables to compensate for a picky pump.
