Anyone, anyone??? What would cause the power steering to "pulse" or shutter like this?
Brakes feel solid, no vibration or feed back. The only factor the brakes seem to play is that when they are applied at idle speed and the wheel is turned, the shuttering in the steering wheel/drivers seat starts. When the brakes are applied fully so that the vehicle stops rolling, the shuttering stops.Air in the lines or a dying pump is all i can think of. How does the brake pedal feel when you have the wheel like that or when its shuddering
I have not. I'll try to figure something out as I know nothing about how they work. Would they cause this type of pulsing/shuttering only when the wheel was turned?Have you checked your ball joints?
They sometimes need to be re-torqued. My lowers didn't have the cotterpin set-up and would need re-torquing.
That makes sense, when the wheel is turned and puts some pressure on them, it makes them pulse or shutter. I'll try to get them checked out. Thanks for the information.I think so. But-my truck was fine in 2wd but would buck in 4wd when steering. It was so bad that I was sure it was a bad u-joint. Turned out to be my passenger lower ball joint had gone bad, and whore out the tapered hole in the steering knuckle.
