I dunno if this is the right sub forum for this, so mods please move accordingly if not.
But it's been awhile but I thought I'd post up the things I've changed since I got the rig in December!
Swapped out the lights to white, which actually created an aqua color with the green tint of the factory gauges... Also matches my deck and pillar gauges too.
Then I got my hands on some RARE seats... Not only are the black leather with the charcoal gray suede inserts, they're heated and powered on both sides... BOTH with power lumbar. That's something I had yet to see in anybody's seats on here... I'm sure there's some, but these are REALLY HARD to find. Oh and to top it off, the fronts are from an 04 and the rears are from an 03, hence no headrests! They were filthy when I picked them up, but a little "saddle soap" and some elbow grease cleaned them right up in a few hours. Then my buddy and I installed them, after breaking down the pin out from the 5pin harness I had to the 12pin harness of the new seats. That was fun, NOT. Long story short on the price, the guy I went through for the seats made a mistake, and I ended up taking everything home for $500 even. Then sold my mint cloth seats for $425 a week after! $75 seat swap, not bad!
And the last thing I did was the 341 to 351 swap. I picked up a 351CW solenoid controlled actuator from a guy locally for $250. Minimal shaft play, just didn't have the 4" cast elbow, also the mileage was low, I forget what it had on it, really nice guy we dealt with though. While I had that out, I had a grade 8 bolt machined down to plug the solenoid installed a new boost elbow, removed the silencer ring, picked up a new manifold to flange gasket, bought an elbow from dodge as well as a V-band for the elbow to downpipe.... And I've always loved the 5" kits... So I went ahead and ordered up the diamond eye 5" kit with muffler with a MBRP 7" tip... Needless to say, that ended up being a whole day project between the two. But I'm super pleased with how well it all turned out. The truck had a 3.5" elbow on the 341, with the 4" straight kit and a 5" tip... I'm so much happier with the sound, but it definitely rumbles more in the cab now!
I could use some help though guys... I'm having the HARDEST time tracking down the heated seat switches and pigtails for the switches... I'm gonna be running a 2wd bezel under the HVAC controls since I have a manual case... And I have the part number for that piece but I can't do anything with that without having the wiring pigtail for those heated seat switches. 6pin swithces I NEED BADLY to finish the seat swap up and get those seats turned on before the cold is over!
Can anyone help me out here?
These switches with their corresponding wiring pigtail is all I need from a junkyard or parting out truck
Enjoy guys!
