I’m installing new universal joints in the rear driveline of my 2003 2500 NV5600 4x4 quad cab short bed
I don’t like the way the clips are not sitting flush.
The u joint caps are pushing out against the clips .
I can get them to sit flush but the joint is too tight to install.
After a few taps to get everything moving freely, then the clips bow up again.
Am I being paranoid?

They are Napa premium

I think I got it figured out
A few taps with a socket and the clips seem to pretty flush
Joint moves freely but not too loose

When installing the cups the yoke is being squeezed together. Probably need to try tapping(smacking) the inside of the yoke to help spread it apart to loosen things up.
