We have alot of equipment with the 8.3L cummins in them. So, we have some HX50s laying around. My dad asked what a HX50 off of a 8.3L would do in one of our 5.9s? He said he thought the spool would be way to low for just everyday driving, but wondered about making it the big trubo in a twins setup. Anyone have any ideas on this? Probably nothing will happen anytime soon, but just a thought.

From my reading, that turbo might be a bit small for what one would expect out of twins after going to that much trouble and cost. Might use the stock turbo for the top one and the HX50 for the large. Probably good for 550 - 600 hp.. Might not be too bad for on the cheap. You got many laying around?
