Turbo questions

Hey, I know this has been over before but was gonna ask what turbo would work good for me. I don't have very big budget to work with, less than $1000. I have hx35, was wondering if 35/40 hybrid was worth it, or if hx35 would make a good pusher for twins, sometime down the road, thanks

HX35/HT3B in twins with a 7x11VCO or even 7x12VCO if your careful. 550-600hp but spools like stock and egts will be "frosty" haha.

Thanks, Brad.
Thanks I'm not familiar with ht3b, but I'm gonna do some research

Or a s472 or s475. If you gate the top charger better you can push 600hp with the s475 or if you plan to upgrde your top turbo later get the s475.

The HT3B came on Cummins N14 and 855 engines (some N14 engines had the HX60). It works PERFECT with the HX35!

Here is a video of a truck running HX35/HT3B:
I know where I can get an hx40 cheap, would 35 pushing a 40 be worth the trouble or just a 40 by itself

Get the 40, pushing it with a hx35 is pointless. Just don't bark the 40 too much or they will break the shaft. You could convert your 35 into a hybrid...............
Ok thanks I'm gonna look into the ht3b, and then decide on something
Which would perform better, hybrid or 40 by itself
I just looked into doing the same thing on a budget. And by the time I added up the parts, time and power out put I would get form the hybrid it was only 2-300 more for a new aftermarket turbo for BD. unless you have a hx40 in your hands and can get seals and bearings cheap I would just save up for a bigger better bolt on.
