Turbo questions

I currently have 7 x 0.011 injectors with a smeding 62/68/14. For some reason I’ve got it in my head that I want a ball bearing turbo to replace my s362. Is there anything out there that’s a full kit including coolant lines, etc? I’d like to get 550-600 horsepower. The truck is for street play and is my DD.

I eventually wanted to put an s475 as my secondary for my s362 but have decided I want to try out a BB turbo as I really, really like that sound.

Any suggestions?

I guess what I’m trying to say is I’d like to make 550-600hp with a single but not have severe turbo lag. Currently with the smeding 62/68/14 it sees 8psi at 2000rpms which is atrocious. What’s a good turbo for my injectors, that sounds great somewhat like the cheetah, less lag than I do now and will be good paired with an s475?

I looked into a ball bearing turbo a while back. Basically the answer I got was, there's not enough gain to justify changing turbos; it has been tested before.
Probably a 62/68/.7 SXE is going to be the quickest spooling turbo in that category, and I would pair it with an S475/83/1.15.

You should be 500HP+ now with your current setup, if you have an aggressive programmer.

Just go with the compounds. I run a 63/67/12 tater built turbo for a few years work ok. 2weeks ago I put a s475 under and all I can say is wow what a big difference in power and egts. My truck is a 96.

Faster spooling is first. I would give up 20HP at 3500RPM to get 50RPM faster spooling.

62/68/12 Supports 525HP nicely
64/68/12 Supports 550HP nicely
64/73.4/12 Supports 600HP nicely

Hi, We do not offer the t51r modification to add more noise to the turbo. Its a novel idea, but I don't see how it would add any performance. For $350 you can get a lot of airflow mods that will improve spoolup and reduce EGT.
