I have a Super B special and the boost is set at 48 psi. i has driving it today and i put my comp on 5 and floored it and about 55mph all i heard was a pop hisssss. It sounded like someone stabbing a basketball and all the air coming hissing out. I thought it was turbo bark or something but now any time i go above about 20psi i hear the same hissing sound. i thought a head gasket popped at first, but i have no oil leaking. all the charge pipe rubbers are still on and i cant find any holes in them.
so any input into what it might be wound be great. thanks

sounds like it could be a intercooler boot. try having someone boost it up while standing still, and look under the hood. you may not be able to see a hole until the boots are under pressure.

Sounds like an intercooler boot to me. Another good way to look for cracks is to just squeeze the boot, they are usually pretty easy to spot.

if the boots are all intact, check the boost plug under the heater grid. I blew mine out...took me a week to find that one. Its pretty much a "freeze plug".

Glad to hear it! Here is a little tip... the more rubber there is past the clamp the harder it is for that boot to blow off. I ended up going with HP boots cause I couldnt keep my stock ones from blowing off.

I am using 3" radiator hose from Napa that is for larger diesels. It seals the best (I believe and is nylon threaded) due to the most amount of rubber touching the piping. I have never had a problem with it
