Need help and options on fixing oil leak on oil return line on turbo. I have looked from the dealer to industrial hose manufactures locally with no luck. I'm trying to replace that rubber hose that connects the two piece tube together. Dealer can't even tell me diameter of hose so I'm going with what I was told by a friend that it's a 7/8" ID. So what are some options that has been used to fix this. I would be happy with just finding a place to purchase hose. The diameter of hose would be nice so I could just purchase more than the 4" from. Hose dealer online.

Remove the drain hose. Take it to your favorite autoparts store and replace ALL o'rings. Maybe $2.00 in parts.

Not going to find 7/8" I.D in most auto parts stores.

Maybe a hydrualic hose store.

I looked for 7/8" I.D. oil rated hose when I installed my HTT 64/71/13...... I would have had better luck finding a green school bus than this size hose.

I found it online a Source Automotive, however, I went a different route.

OP.....Do you have a Cummins store near you?

I went with the metal flexible drain (not cheesy) pipe used on the third gen. I got it directly from Cummins. They had to order it, took one day, picked it up the following day. Working great no leaks, no issues.

Cummins part#3934084
I paid $38.98 at Cummins Atlantic

When you install coat the o-rings (block end) real good with clean oil so it will slip in nicely.

The drain is flexible/form-able so, before you commit either end bend/shape it close with your hands (no tools needed).
