I have a 2004.5 3500 all stock but afe intake and aftermarket exhaust. A while back I floored it to get into traffic and heard a big whoose and then what sounded like a air leak checked all boots and everything was fine but power way down and milage was about 12 mpg. I replaced my wastegat acuator with a bd performance since I cant find a stock replacement, and was stuck took 70 psi to get it to move with an air compressor, helped but still not fixed. Does anyone have any ideas on what else to do?

Check your boots again . Even the smallest holes will release alot of air under pressure . Did you take them off and check them , or just do a visual ?

I would check your intercooler end caps for cracks also if they are the plastic ones. Get a spray bottle with some soapy water and look for some leaks. When I blew a boot above 35 or so it smoked terrible.

Checked everthing I could get into and cant find any leaks anywhere. Is it possible that the wastegate accuator is throwing something off? There are not any codes set, even when this first happend and I drove around about 2 months with the wastegate stuck.

The torque on the stock clamps is 95in/lbs. I checked mine last week and turned them all about 1.5 rounds before the wrench clicked.

I had not noticed any problems, just checking on things.

Have you checked the gaskets under the intake tray lid and intake elbow?

If its not blowing bubbles out with the soap water get a can of starting fluid and mist around intake track if it sucks it in you will hear a slight rpm rise, just be carful not to use to much.
