So what is the best tuner in terms of producing reliable power with the least amount of smoke - I have an '06 w/ 68RE trans? I have searched all the threads and all I can really find is information on making more smoke, I guess a lot of people want that, but I don't want to be blowing out any smoke - namely because I want to secretly have power without being obnoxious, I also live in CA and do not want to make diesel owners look like schmucks.

:agree2: smokeless reliable power now you just have to choose the tuner you want to use

Another vote for EFI. And if you have an 06, you have the 48RE, unless you did some weird swap.

I use Les at Silverbullet Tuning for my tunes and couldn't be happier with his service or tunes.

Another notch for Les. Smoke free on my 07. I have a buddy who is a tech at a emissions station here and he hooked my truck up to his machine and it passed, it was an OBDII port test for codes and what not but still mad me feel good knowing in case Oregon becomes a communist state.
