I went to start my truck this morning everything was perfect waited for the grids to cycle then went to start. It started turning over then all of a sudden it completely stopped like someone flipped a switch. Now when you get in the truck and turn the key nothing appears on the dash or nothing. No power to the obd2 port with the key on. Also the dome light still lights up when the door is open, however when you turn the key the light dims like a dead battery. My batteries are fine and the starter is brand new. I checked the fuses for igntion none were blown but i replaced them with new ones anyway to be sure. Any and all help is appreciated.

Dang thats wierd??? Did you check to see if anything was grounding out? Any codes? Might try the ignition trick at least if you dont have a scanner. Not much but hope this helps, good luck.

I scanned it and no codes came up, however no bus comes on in the odometer and the lift pump does not cycle when the wait to start light comes on. The light began being delayed about two months ago? From what ive read is this sounds like my ecm is fried? Hoping someone can chime in that has had or heard about this.

Did you try checking the fuses with a voltmeter? Sometimes a blown fuse will look fine if it blows where it's hard to see.

Yes i finally got the truck to show dash lights and power to ignition by hooking a jump box up to it , thats when it still wouldnt start or try to turn over and when the no bus showed up. However when i scan it nothing shows up on the scanner yet its saying no bus on the dash.

* Check for cracked fuses - Fuses will appear to be normal and not blown but have a hairline crack that opens up with load.

* OBDII port should have power from the IOD fuse in the cab double check that fuse again.

* Battery condition - Have them load tested again they might of failed internally with a broken bus bar. Rare but it does happen.

Well i unplugged the ecm and unhooked the battery's and then the truck was trying to crank and got two codes from it p0336 (crankshaft position sensor) and p0237 (map low). I just replaced the cps a month ago and i believe the map one is because i unhooked the edge from the main plug but left everything else hooked up.

Im having the same exact issue, did yoy ever find a solution? Thanks in advance
Same here, problem started out of the blue.

Only sometimes get dash lights (1 out of 10-20 times?) and won't crank at all. Disconnected both batteries and held together the passenger side leads for about 20-30 seconds. Reconnected batteries and tried starting. Sounded like the starter went to engage for about a half second then nothing and back to square one.

Other thing that was weird is I was about to get out of the truck and there was a clicking from under the dash. I thought it might be the alarm system so I pulled that relay and the horn relay with no luck. Put my hands on the wiring under the dash and found a green 16-wire plug was pulsing. The wiring was connected to something (ECM?) with DaimlerChrysler part number: P56045999AF

I d/c'd the batteries (had to do both, it was still clicking with just the passenger side removed, albeit more slowly) and went in to research.

I am having the same issue starting today. It was cranking over and the batteries were weak so I charged them and went to start it and it cranked real fast the just stopped and now no power to the dash cluster and it doesn't start. Any ideas?

No I used a wire brush on them and cleaned them up when I charged the batteries. I did however put a new battery in and the process. I changed the signal and wiper switch today as well and after I changed it, I got all the dash lights working again. I went to start it and it tried to crank but just went back to square one. I decided to take the new battery out and now the truck starts and the dash lights work again. Strange

If you took out an perfectly good new battery and made it work I still say it is cable connectionis you were messing with, maybe ends too worn and not clamping well.
