I am currently stationed overseas as as my father went to start my truck to drive it a bit after replacing the alternator it fired right up. Shortly after it died. The truck will crank with no problems 9/10 times but will not fire. About 1 of 10 times it slow cranks like the battery is dead which it is not. Occasionally as well the horn honks, lights flash, and security light flashes on in the dash. It was loaded on a trailer and towed to the local dealership and they said all of the injectors went bad which seems off as the truck has only 40,000 miles on it and that to my knowledge would not set off the lights, horn, and security light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at my earlier thread. I had same issue. Use key fob to unlock and see if security clears.

I will let get a hold of my father and see if he will try that. My brother said he did what the owners manual said to reset it with the key fob and that did not work though.

wow, this just happened to me tonight.. my first clue, was my doors would not unlock... then my truck would not stay running. after starting it and ,,it dieing about 6 times.( security disabled fuel pump?). i asked a friend for a ride home( was at a xmas party).. as soon as we started to drive away, my alarm went off and lights and horn started flashing. we drove back and i got in truck,put key in ignition and it started right up and alarm went off!.. i drove home, and tommorrow i am going to replace battery in my key fob. hope its a bad remote battery. either its the key fob or my truck is possesed by the ghost of christmas past.

I wish you the best of luck man. Ended up having to replace my lift pump as that tanked and now it runs like a champ.

I had a buddy whos truck got attacked by a squirl and ate a butt load of his wires and started and shut off after a few seconds. Then wouldnt do anything after wards. But i dought you have this problem hope that you never have to be the guy or the friend who has to help with fixing this problem!! probably security problem tho.

That in no way shape or form sounds even mildly fun to deal with.
