Hey Guys,

I just got my budget build truck here, when I fire it up cold, it really lopes bad, once it warms up it's fine. What do you think I could look at? Power is good, but the lope is too bad to be normal.

I also think that he has the idle to high, it's about 900-950rpm. What you think?

How cold is cold? and on the idle mine is set at 1000 any lower and it stalls. When i drop it in gear it pulls it down to about 650 or so.

It hasn't fired in a couple days? it was about 60 degrees outside.

It has a stock converter so when I put it in gear it doesn't drop at all. But I am putting a different converter in very shortly.

Was is a hard start?

When the engine is cold the oil is so much more viscous that it pulls down the engine acouple hundred RPM, mine does the same in the winter, need to bump up the idle some.

If it lopes at 900+ RPM then I would search for fuel/air leaks or gov. gov/spring issues.

i've found poorly cut delivery valves make em cold hearted es.... so what guys are gonna ask for, is everything that this things got done to it. so they can give you their ideas

CPP 60hp injectors, gov spring kit, plate, timing at 19.5. That's what I was told anyway.

I'd say its sucking air some where in the fuel system. I'd also get the injectors pop tested if your keeping them.
