so recently while driving my truck the rpms will go to 0 and then go to say 2000 rpms then dies and sometimes while starting out in 2nd gear (6spd manual) it will just die on me. i have no idea what is going on. please help

it has an aftermarket one.... a friend of mine said its maybe the camshaft positioning sensor? im no mechanic so i am not sure. and i just went for a drive in it and everytime i shifted out of gear to coast it died. thanks

any codes
check for fuel flow out the lid of the fuel filter, means the lift pump is at least pumping some. even a brand new lift pump can fail.
what's the condition of the fuel filter?
check for loose/corroded batt cables and all ground connections including the ECM.
take out the TST.
