Will a cap off of a 1500 fit my 2500? both 6 ft and same year?

i am looking to buy one and not sure what years or models will fit. any extra info is appreciated .

All the beds from 94-01 on 1500, 2500 and 3500 are the same other than the 2 ft. difference between the long and short beds. 2002 1500 boxes are different than the 2002 2500 and 3500 boxes because the 1500 body style is the newer style.

So in short, yes the cap will fit your truck.
