truck cap question

Will a cap off of a standard short bed Dodge fit the short bed on a Megacab? I have gotten mixed answers.

I dealer told me the front of the cap would be different because the way the Megacab's cab is shaped.

I know that an 03 quad cab short bed cap with fit an 08 megacab short bed. If that helps.
