We have a 2006 dodge ram 3500 4x4 automatic and we started have some sort of transmission trouble. At first it didn't want to shift out of second into 3rd. So we changed out the TTVA, the governor pressure solenoid, the transducer, the solenoid pack, tightened the bands and of course changed the fluid and filter. We've also checked fuses. And tried to make sure all connections are tight. Not seeing any rub through on wires. After all that it will now shift out of second thankfully but it acts like it won't shift into overdrive. At 50 mph the rpms are at approximately 2000. The tach doesn't work most of the time but I have a cheaper code reader that tells the rpms. I'm just curious if I'm missing something electronic or if it would be a valve body issue or a tranny rebuild. I've got an AE code reader also but only have the package for Fords and not for Dodges.so until I do, I'm just guessing. Thanks in advance for your help!!

How many miles on trans?
what did pan debris /fluid look like?

does OD switch show it is working in cluster?
should triple check wiring/connections with multimeter.
With out the abilty to read codes can try pressure testing
Info for testing in FSM in newbies guide here Newbies guide to your new to you truck
Nor exactly sure of miles. The person we bought it from in March said it had been rebuilt a year ago. The fluid looked a little dark and the magnet had fine particles. The button for overdrive/ tow haul seems to work fine. It lights up on the dash anyways. And it has a p1755 code

If not a lot of debris sounds like electrical ,
P1755 is saying
"The current detected on the TTVA circuit is greater than a threshold for a calibrated amount of time or the
feedback to the controller does not match the intended state."
I would go to newbies guide in 2006 FSM section 21 has info wiring diagrams and try perform checks/diagnostics.
