Triples to Compounds

So contemplating trying a compound setup, mods in my sig are accurate.
I've got a new 64/67. 82 AR Vband Comp Turbo with ceramic bearings that I'm going to use as my secondary.
Here are the primaries I'm considering:
Comp Turbo 91/106
Garrett GT4718R (88 mm)
Garrett GT5533R (91mm)
BW S482 (least likely)

Any thoughts or experiences with similar are appreciated.
I'm not intending to run this guy over a PR of 3, so I'm only needing 25-30 psi out of it.

What Dave?!?

Triples no good? Or are you just fighting tuning issues with them?
I'm going to admit that the primaries are too small and come in way too fast, and then surge like crazy. I'm not sure I have the ambition to play with gates and exhaust housings to get them to work properly. The truck is awesome don't get me wrong, it' s just not perfect.
Well, that blows.

If you feel the tune needs adjusted let me know.
Thanks but your last tune rocks! Not sure how it could be better.

Im a fan of the GT55R turbos. They're failrly compact for what they are and have a good turbine. I guess it would come down to lb/min of air you want. Youre talking 135-155 lb/min.
That's what I'm leaning towards.
Im looking at the 5518 for a primary.
GT4718R Dave. That is plenty big enough. You won't even use 2/3's of its full potential so the GT55 is more money and it's pretty dang big. Just ask Woosley haha
What about the GT3582R over the GT4718R? That way could get the quick spool with the top end too. Sounds like that could be a good compound long as the secondary is not too small?
I feel that the tiny 62 mm turbine on the 3582 is just too small to effectively drive the compressor with all that primary air.

Agreed on the cost point.
Just curious whats the stall speed on your torque converter?
150 rpm tighter than stock.
@100 lower than stock
All I see are $$ signs!

Got any videos of the current set up?
Nothing decent enough to post up. If I sell the 3 3582's that should cover a nice GT5533R.....
D2: I had a feeling the 3582's were going to be trouble... I remember going around and around with you and a few others in regards to a 3582/4505 set. When I went to order my secondary (gtx3582r) I was told Garrett is no longer making/selling the t4 twin scroll 1.15 housing for it. With that news I ended up going with a fmw62 over a 6 blade billet 476. I wish you the best of luck. Just out of curiosity did you ever try a single 3582 as a single? I would love to hear input.

Nope never as a single. My fueling is way beyond that now anyway so I won't be trying it out either...lol

You can always go with an S467.7 single lol
