If anyone would be interested to post some of the ins and outs here in this thread I will be gladly to stick it to the top of the section until a better method is found. I already stuck the head light adjustment thread.
All I ask is to keep the posts in this thread to the topic at hand. If you like a post just thank the person. Keep all the other post out of this thread unless it adds information to the previous post. ( we can then merge the post to make a comprehensive one) This will keep it a very clean thread that has good information in it.

Benifits of doing a exhaust filter delete are-

#1.Oil dilution will be 0% since there is no regening now
#2.Truck now has one less thing system to fail
#3.Enigine will run cooler
#4.Truck sounds much better
#5.Milage increses up to 4mpg
#6.When used with a H&S you get more power

Benifits of EGR system delete

#1.Cleans up engine compartment
#2.No more contaminated oil
#3.Risk of a cooler blow out are no more.
#4.Now have the ability to run a wastgate kit if needed

Egts will get lower as the more parts you add. The 6.7 heats up fast EGT wise this is because of all the restritons cummins used to keep the engine hot. Adding a new airhorn with throttle valve delete will help along with a gridheater delete. Adding a bigger intercooler to it will help cause the stocker is SMALL. Stock VGT turbo is trash i wouldnt ever run that as my high psi twin. If running a twin setup just going with a setup not using the stock turbo. I also cant stress enough how much the 6.7 loves air. If you plan on running a better fuel system someday and making big hp take care of the air issues frist. The 6.7 cant handle heat like the old 5.9s could it just jumps upthere too fast. Running a snow system will help alot too. Alsodont forget to upgrade your trans and clutch if running the g56. Keep in mind g56 useers that heavy duty shafts are a good idea and rec doing them when your do a new clutch i rec a SBC.

perform service message reset

Perform service is a egr maintenance message to turn it off turn key on step on brake 2 times and fuel 2 times then off.

You will get this message ever 67,500 miles and it is a reminder to replace the crank case breather filter.

Coolant performance

The required ethylene-glycol (antifreeze) and water mixture depends upon climate and vehicle operating conditions. The coolant performance of various mixtures follows:

Pure Water-Water can absorb more heat than a mixture of water and ethylene-glycol. This is for purpose of heat transfer only. Water also freezes at a higher temperature and allows corrosion.

100 percent Ethylene-Glycol
-The corrosion inhibiting additives in ethylene-glycol need the presence of water to dissolve. Without water, additives form deposits in system. These act as insulation causing temperature to rise to as high as 149°C(300°F). This temperature is hot enough to melt plastic and soften solder. The increased temperature can result in engine detonation. In addition, 100 percent ethylene-glycol freezes at -22°C (-8°F).

50/50Ethylene-Glycol and Water-Is the recommended mixture, it provides protection against freezing to -37°C (-34°F). The antifreeze concentration must always be a minimum of 44 percent, year round in all climates. If percentage is lower, engine parts may be eroded by cavitation.

Maximum protection against freezing is provided with a 68 percent antifreeze concentration, which prevents freezing down to -67.7°C (-90°F). A higher percentage will freeze at a warmer temperature. Also, a higher percentage of antifreeze can cause the engine to overheat because specific heat of antifreeze is lower than that of water.

propylene glycol OR extended life coolants

This is the type thats used in our trucks this is far superior to green coolant in many ways as ELC has additives already in it and lats for 7 years or 600,000. This is the only coolant i will every use and is what now has become standard in all engine applications. It has the same frezzing properties as green but is just a better coolant

My owners manual states, "This vehicle has not been designed for use with Propylene glycol based coolants. Use of propylene glycol based coolants is not recommended." This is for a 2007.

Maybe something changed for 2010.

Want more turbo noise?

Well there are 4 things to do starting with the easiest first.

#1. Intake baffle located in between turbo and airbox. Take it out w/ no CEL and a little louder turbo
#2. Send the turbo compressor housing out to WCC and have them machine the inducer ring some.(DO NOT REMOVE)$75
#3. Buy a S&B intake although the WCC mod adds louder results but works best when used with the intake 289.00
#4. Buy a regular turbo such as a silver 66. Exhaust will be louder and the turbo will scream!!!!

Can anyone confirm if the fog lights 9145 is the same as H10? I have been having a PITA trying to find 9145's but if they are the same as the H10's then I will be very happy as they are in every part store around here.

Been getting questions about removing the grill and headlights.

The easiest way to remove the headlights I have found is to remove the grill. I can do it in about 10 mins.

The "Heavy duty" plastic piece is a pita the first time and I replaced the plastic holders with newer style ones that can be reused from NAPA. Once that is off then there is 4 screws to remove the grill (10mm) and to remove the grill you must pull it directly away from the the truck from the bottom with a sharp motion on each side of the grill.

Once the grill is out then remove the 2 bolts on the front/top of each headlight need to be removed as well as a (all 10mm) retaining bolt and clip accessed from each inner fender. Once you have the bolts all out you simply wiggle the light towards the front of the truck until it comes out.

I will post a step by step pictures of how to do this ASAP and add them to this post.

Will removing this filter cause any problems with warranty?
