I have been planning on getting a new exhaust system, but after reading some other threads i have started to worry about my tranny. Im currently at 150k on the stock transmission and am just wondering what is the best/least expensive way (if there is a least expensive way) to beef it up just a little bit. i dont plan on every getting it up to or over 500hp. All i want is to get movin when its needed. and maybe just a little smoke, but thats it! thanks for the help guys
(auto tranny by the way)

Its usally the the torque converter that goes first. If they slip they get hot. The rest of the trannys are pretty tough. I just did a TC and it was over 2000 grand installed. Also having a shift kit put in helps too. The less you slip clutches the less heat you create. To make nice smooth shifts the clutches have to engage slowly so they slip for a bit. Anyway if your tranny is still feeling good then upgrading the valve body and TC is good place to start. I have over 100m on mine and just did both those things. I run the predator on extreme, daily driver. I have stopped beatin on though. Drive it nice for milage and keep the power in my back pocket in case someone thinks they have something on me. lol
