You might first ask your dealer to quicklearn the transmission (they do this with a scan tool). This resets all the shift adaptives to "factory" settings, and re-learns all the clutch volumes. It can often clear up harsh shift issues.
My brand new 2013, 6-day-old truck is downshifting really hard from 4-3 also. A nice jerk and clunk. Good luck. Looks like I will be taking mine back to the dealer...had 3-4 wierd issues maybe a clunk now and then

Excuse me for sounding extremely new…. but I'm not versed in the world of these trucks yet.I would do as trans engineer suggested. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to these transmissions.
Oh and I would not dare delete until I was happy with the shifting of the transmission.

What exactly is meant by doing a transmission delete? And what are the benefits?
