So I just recently got my transmission built 2000 miles ago automatic transmission( Triple disc torque converter, billet input and output shaft etc).So while driving to work my transmissikn started to slip while in 4th gear I pulled over and my truck wouldn't move, still revs like it's under load but wouldn't move in any gear. I started up my truck a few days ago and I can usually feel it bump into gear firmly when i shift into drive, this time nothing happens. Im wondering if it's a simple fix maybe having somthing to do with pressure. Any input would be great since the transmission shop who has warranted it is avoiding my phone calls, and at this point I just want to be up and running again without spending thousands more. Thanks

Do you have a 48re?

Nevermind you do have a 48re. First 4th gear is an electronic o/d and only operates with the torque converter locked so it can't slip. The tranny can put itself into limp mode if something is wrong where it will only start in 2nd or 3rd and won't shift. If it's a hydraulic issue, maybe one of the check balls in the valve body disintegrated. There is also a ball I top of the valve body that gets wore down and makes it hard to get into gear from park but not real sure if that would apply to your situation. Maybe someone with a little more experience can chime in and help you out.

Thanks for the help, and I could have been in 3rd gear but I think I was in 4th when the tranny started to act up could be wrong tho. At this point it won't move at all. I think it has to do with pressure but then again if I knew I wouldn't be asking for advice.

Get under truck and make sure it's moving the shifter lever mounted to the side of the tranny. If not while some one in truck try to move shifter by hand and see if it goes into gear. If not I would be pulling the tranny and going through it.

its moving into gears I just fired it up and when I put it in drive i felt it engage in gear and it would move, put it in reverse and it did the same, put it in drive again and before I got out of my driveway it was slipping but I could tell it was still under load, when giving it fuel it doesn't rev out like it would in nutural or how it was slipping before in 2nd gear previous to the rebuild. It almost seems like somthing is binded up

Possibly your torque converter. If you had it built by a reputable company the converters are usually under warranty.

4th gear is electronic controlled but still works like other gears, hydraulic pressure, piston and clutches. And sure can slip due to bad piston seal etc. And it operates with or without TCC.

With 2000miles, you should have warranty on the trans, first ask there. Something wrong with the trans internally.

I Went to someone who was recommended and has been in business for 30 years, he is avoiding my phone calls and when I went to the shop, he wasent there and people were telling me he doesn't do business here anymore. I got screwed. So before I can take legal action and get my money back I need to try and fix it myself or get it rebuilt again the right way. Was hoping it was somthing simple. Maybe somthing to do with the tranny filter

Their are no good builders around here. I had my first tranny built by a "nameless" company that's a vendor here. I got screwed. The tranny left me stranded not even a year later. I didn't want to scrap it so I shipped it off to M&J tool and fab. He went through it, saved all the billet parts that were good, upgraded a few things. I would recommend checking with garmon, or one of the others to see if they will go through it and fix it for you. That way maybe you can save what you can from the one you got and have it do e by someone you can trust to do it right the first time.

Thanks for your input i think that may be my best bet to save the billet parts that hopefully were installed, really wishing I had the time and knowledge to take on the task myself but better to have it done by a professional. Apreciate your time
