I replaced the starter on my 05 2500 yesterday. While I was under the truck I noticed that there was transmission fluid leaking slowly from right at the fitting connection at the trans almost directly above the starter. Looked around and can't find a part # for the female fitting on the side of the trans there. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Are you referring to the torque converter cooler, located above the starter?

I believe so? Not very familiar with automatics

Sounds like Trans cooler need to verify if cooler leaking or line itself, Cummins shakes these apart should be carefully inspected or just replaced if questionable.

dealer is charging $4-500 for same part

It's definitely the line. Right next to the female fitting that's just above the starter on the side of the transmission

If you don't have local Ma/Pa hose shop nearby, I would Contact Benny with VIN, at All Mopar parts, dealer part to get correct line.
