Guys,

After searching for about a month on transmission kits for the 47re I ran across a website called Performance Transmission and Parts. Their website is PATC 46RE 47RE 48RE Transmissions, Performance Transmission A518, 518.

Anyways after reading through their products they sell kits that you can do yourself and turn your trans into a viper, mega viper, or ramzilla just like the ones their build and sell. The kits look very affordable and I have a buddy that can help me put it together. They sell the kits to hold up to 700-800hp. Just would like to get any feedback from someone who went this route and has a story to tell. (Hopefully a good one.) I like to be able to work on my vechicle as much as possible being that I KNOW what was done and the care that was taken. I understand the "throw down 4 grand and get a ats, suncoast, ect.....tranny" but whats the fun in that it you cant do it yourself. ANY info would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've been on that site. Scared me. I saved and bought a art carr. check out transmission planet too(scott) they don't want a core and are dirt cheap. I took a list off NADP web site and faxed it to em. i think it was in the 2300.00 range with converter. good luck, I just chose to spend alot of money on billet
