I'm sure a few of you guys have put heavy duty or race transmissions on your trucks I'm just curious about how much a built transmission costs, something that pretty much has all the bells and whistles

Thanks

no one i have found has a race tranny set up for the new 6 speeds, hopefully soon. as far as the old 48re's go, 6k to 8k will give you a tranny you can't break.:thumbsup

I'll let you know in about 2 weeks. Sun Coast are testing one this weekend .They are taking there truck to the track with 4 slicks on it. So they are going to drive the piss out of it and see if it holds or it breaks. He said the tranny has been proven for about 425 hp. For a new torque converter and tranny its about $6000 for a stock set up cause I've purchased a couple. Even the one I have now is not working 100% but will be under warrenty, just waiting for something better to put in.
