Ok guys the truck is all stock but i need to know what the deal is with the transmission. When you are driving down the road and use 5th gear if you dont pull the gear shifter straight back to neutral then the darn thing will stick in 5th gear... Not really in 5th but inbetween gears but it will put power in to 5th.

Just tell me what you guys think cause im tired of climbing under the truck to free the darn thing up.:S:

sounds like a bent or broken shift fork, just enough so it will still work if you are carefull.

Try this

when you go to 5th push shifter over past the rev spring toward pas side then up to dash back toward you and down into 5th. when you go out of 5th do rev. push shifter up to dash over toward pass. door then straight down then back to you then down to 4th.
Mine had same prob. Shifted it this way for 2 years.:S:

Ok i apprieciate the replies guys i tried to shift it like that drand but no succes i forget to work the transmission or im to lazy one or the other i forget to shift it like that lol

My truck has been like that as long as I've had it. I just have to remember to put pressure to the right on the stick when shifting from 5th to 4th, and it never causes me any trouble.
