Jason,
My truck had a tank before i bought it. I have no tank, but all the plumbing is still there. It has some kinda switching mechanism for allowing the transfer to feed into the factory tank. Maybe I can look at it an figure something out for ya (or yank it off and mail it to ya!!) I have your number, I'll take a look and give you a ring.

well i just called again and this is a gravity feed in bed tank.
so i guess that means it needs nothing ? how in the hell
does it feed to the stocker ? you have to drill a hole or
something in it ?

maybe this isnt such a good idea. lol

This thing has a "box" that mounts under the bed that has hoses going in and out of it, as well as some wires. :confused013:

Edit: Ok, here's what I got, hose going from transfer tank into "box" thingy, hose coming from "box" thingy Tee-d into the overflow vent in the filler neck. (I guess it don't leak as long as the fuel cap stays on! lol)

Now, I don't know if the "box thingy" is a tiny elec. pump, or a fancy electrically switched valve, but it has a hot and ground running to it.

I had a transfer tank in the bed and had it set up as a grevity feed. Used a 1" ball valve to shut it off it i needed to get to the main tank. My favorate thing was when people would ask how do you know if the tank was empty. Well that is when the needle starts to move on the dash board. What i didnt like was that i didnt have a air valve in the tank and the truck would run funny. I would have to stop and open the tank and let in some air.

would you leave the ball valve open all the time or just when you wanted to add to the main tank?

my tank had a check valve that came with it....i didnt trust them things so i would only open/close the valve when i know i could drain all the fuel from the tank....on the highway so for a long trip i could open the valve an i could drive a 1000 miles if i wanted cause it would gravity feed just a hair faster than the truck would burn the fuel....my gauge would just sit on about 7/8 of a tank...i used real small fuel line to run to my filler kneck
