hey guys i got a problem with my 4x4. it started about two weeks ago, when i would mover the lever into 4lo it would make a grinding noise. when would shift between drive and reverse and would make the same noise. today i tried the 4lo and it shift normal (no grinding noise) but i tried the 4hi and it would it engage at all. The 4lo works fine except when i put it park, it make the grinding noise:confused013:. Any ideas what could be causing this? is my transfer case going out?

It shifts into 4lo, does it drive 4lo? That, combine with the grinding trying to go into park, makes it sound like the Tcase is going into neutral. That would allow the transmission output shaft to still be turning when trying to go into park, which would cause the pawl to grind on the output shaft gear. I'm thinking its a problem with the shift forks, or shift linkage.
