I have read a lot on here about where to put the resistor in the sensor. I have a 95 3500. I am still confused on where it goes. Does it go inline? why are some people telling me to put it inside the coolant line? This is probably an easy question for most but i am not an electrical genius. Thanks in advance.

Find the sensor about a foot ahead of the tranny driver's side on the output tube.
Unplug the sensor, jump the resistor across the two wires going away from the tranny.
Leave the stock sender in place and disconnected.

I've found the male prongs on the connectors you need to jump across have a split in the middle you can open up, insert the resistor leads, squeeze tight then wrap the whole thing up with electrical tape and cable tie out of the way on top of the tranny.
